About The Bar 10 Ranch
Remote describes it best. The Bar 10 Ranch is a working cattle ranch located nine miles from the north rim of the Grand Canyon, in the heart of the Parashant National Monument, on the fabled Arizona Strip, one of the most remote areas of the western United States. From the desert plateaus of Northern Arizona to the lush mountain pastures of southern Utah, the ranch encompasses more than 250,000 acres and ranges in elevation from 3000 ft to over 7000 ft. The ranch is fully self sustaining leaving all public utilities and amenities including power lines, oiled roads, and telephone lines 80 miles away. The Bar 10 generates its own power and is fed by one of the only springs on the Arizona Strip which provides the ranch with a constant supply of pure water. Ruby and her late husband Tony founded the Bar 10 Ranch. She is also a co-owner of Bar 10 Beef. She resides in St George, Utah.

Kelly & Heidi Heaton -
Kelly & his wife Heidi live in Santa Clara, Utah with their 4 children. Kelly is an owner of the Bar 10 Ranch and a co-founder of Bar 10 Beef. He is a fourth generation rancher on the Arizona Strip.

Gavin & Andrea Heaton -
Gavin & his wife Andrea live in St. George Utah with their two daughters. Gavin is an owner of the Bar 10 Ranch and one of the co-founders of Bar 10 Beef. He is a fourth generation rancher on the Arizona Strip.



Ryan West -
Ryan is the Bar 10 Beef Accountant and Office Manager and a 3rd generation rancher on the Arizona Strip. He resides in St. George, Utah with his wife, Melinda, and their 2 boys. Ryan graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and an emphasis in Business Management. He controls the flow of information thru the office, including making sure that your orders are filled timely and correctly. He is very customer service oriented and is always looking for new ways to better serve our customers. He also loves to get out and work with the cattle whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Troy Henrie-
Troy is the Manager of Grass Finishing Operations and a 4th generation farmer/cattle rancher. Troy and his wife Jodi live in Panguitch, Utah with their 4 children. Troy has a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Science and is certified through Southern Utah University in Livestock Management. Grass finishing is truly an artisanal talent that Troy is passionate about. He practices intensive grazing management to finish each beef perfectly. He loves the high mountain pastures and is continually trying new and innovative techniques to help him with his stewardship of the land. Troy is also an active participant in several different conservation districts that help the area implement practices that improve water quality and use and help reduce soil erosion as well as support wildlife habitat.



Shane Johnson-
Shane is a Manager of Cow/Calf Operations and a 4th generation rancher on the Arizona Strip. Shane & Cari live in Fredonia, Arizona with their 2 children.
Jacob Christensen -
Jake is a Manager of Cow/Calf Operations and a 4th generation rancher. Jake lives in Moccasin, Arizona.
As Managers of the Cow/Calf Operations on the Arizona Strip, Shane and Jake are considered Master Ranchers. They specialize in desert range management and are continually improving herd genetics to better grazing efficiencies and beef tenderness qualities. They practice low stress cattle handling techniques and are truly stewards of the land.
